Skid steer quick attach

Has anybody built there own skid steer quick attach to go on the loader arms of a tractor? I priced them recently, and they are pretty steep ($525), or at least seem steep for what they appear to be (since I'm really cheap). I haven't examined one closely to see how complicated they are, but the concept seems pretty straightforward. It seems to me the hardest thing would be the tapered locking pin. Anybody have any input?

On another note, do those of you who have the quick attach loaders find them useful? Does the quick attach point give you any trouble, or is there excessive movement or slack in the mechanism? Thanks for any opininons.

I use my quick attach to switch between my bucket and pallet forks. Works great, no issues, movement, slack, etc. In fact, I added the quick attach after buying the tractor and did not notice any difference from before or after adding it.

I have no expierence building a quick attach system but one of my tractors has the feature and I am starting to appreciate it more every time I use it. I switch between forks and bucket just often enough to like the feature. I am now currently in the process of converting a old rear blade I bought to the quick attach system and I am looking forward to not having to look behind me when moving snow! So my vote is thumbs up on the quick attach feature

We have the skid-steer attachments on our New Holland TC40A FEL, using an auger, loader, homemade log splitter, pallet forks, 6' snow blade and more. We're constantly changing implements and it's great ... our next addition is an electric actuator for the release arms, so we don't have to give up any hydraulic capability, and can change without getting down off the tractor.

Thumbs up and worth the bucks.

If you like to build stuff consider this: It is very easy to make attachments fit the Bobtatch. It has no precise bore spacing or precision holes required. If you have some error in your fabrication the attachment probably will still work.

My suggestion is to buy the tractor side of the hitch, and if you make stuff, make the implement sidee of the hitch.

I Have the QT on my loader, and have several different buckets and pallet forks. I feel the skid steer QH is a must have for me. I have built the peice that goes on the buckets. It is farley simple. I give it two thumbs up.

I have the QA setup on my B3200 and love it. I go from bucket to grapple to forks in seconds. The only down side for me is the added weight of the QA system. I can't remember how much extra it adds, maybe 100 pounds or so. but I really don't notice much. It's a must have IMO.

I built one for my tractor last spring. I'm feeding silage in the morning and round bales in the afternoon,every day. And some days, I even have to put the snow bucket on. I built mine with this as the starting point, It eliminates most of the parts scrounging when building the latch mechanisims.
