A big factor are the controls. Different manufacturers use different configurations so it is best to operate the machines under consideration before you buy.

Many things to consider,
what chores do you have in mind
will you need to trailer it around over the road
operating conditions (underfoot)
convienient dealer location and any existing relationship
what other equip do you have on hand
I've had a Case, JD, NH, Gehl in that order. They all had there strong points, but right now I just need the brute force and lift height that is unmatched by the others (actually BC has an equal now) Fill us in on some of the questions above and I'm sure that the opinions will come your way.
