I'd definitely seek some professional advice/help.

Though I'd also think twice about turning a claim in on the insurance, especially if you've had other claims in the recent past. I've read that insurance companies are more likely to drop people with multiple claims than they used to be.

We have had good luck with 'Murphys Oil Soap', you should be able to find it at Walmart or any similar store. I have also heard ozone works good if it has soaked into things, look up 'ozone generator' on Ebay, there should be a bunch.

For the house, get professional advice. Don't envy you one bit.

M-I-L hit one in her car a few years back. Three car washes/details and a week later she sold it. Never could get rid of the smell.
