SKUNK Removal

Skunks can't spray if they don't have their front feet anchored. This fact, and a plethora of skunks on my Granddad's farm, lead my Dad to capture live skunks, by hand. I must have been 7 or 8 years old, and was the designated bag holder.
Skunks hides were helping Dad finance a home, so we went skunk catchin' a couple times a week. I'd shine a light on the skunk and Dad would grab it, then I'd hold open a burlap sack and Dad dropped the skunk in. One night I didn't hold the top of the bag open far enough, and the quarry grabbed the bag with his front paws! After that, we shot skunks.

I remember watching a show on myth busters on skunks. They were trying to see what remedies actually got rid of the skunk smell, but they couldn't get any of the skunks to spray them. I think they eventually ended up getting some that was man made or taken from a skunk. It seems like the skunk never did spray them.
