It would be interesting to see how the 29 compares. I would guess it would pretty well out class them. Its also a much more expensive machine - so it should. As is the TC24, I find its about as much as a B7800. Was that your experience?
Neil, are you talking price when you compare the TC24 to the B7800?
Honestly I don't know how the B7800 prices out, I never even looked at one. I'm not exactly sure what the Kubota model was that I priced against the TC24 early last year, I know one of the machines was either a 7500 / 7510, and there was another model, but I don't recall the number. The Kubota dealer was $1200 higher than the NH dealer at the time. I normally deal with the owner but he wasn't in, make a long story short, he called me about an hour after I closed the deal on the TC24 and he was shocked at how low the price got. But again, I never even considered the 7800, I was looking for a smaller machine and limited my search to the 21/24hp machines. All basically seemed to be the same general size, so I opted for the most power in a small package and that drove me to the 24hp tractors.
The B7800 & NHTC24/CASE IH DX24 should all price out pretty comparably. They all have features that will appeal to different buyer types: The NH/Case have the curved boom front loader which is a little more robust than the LA402 and also yields greater visibility. On the other hand the Kubota has more HP and a larger operator's platform. The tractor in the attached photo was a hit at the local fair we attended last week. Who could argue with this operator?
