This post appears in the Cub forum as well but in case any others have experience here, I would like to hear it...

Thanks to the advice of a fellow TBNer, I am now considering a towable York Rake instead of a box scraper/electric sleeve hitch combo. It's $500 cheaper than the CC hitch plus scraper and the same price as RS Fab's hitch plus scraper. Is one better than the other? Seems to me the rake will do a better job on rocks while the scraper will do better finish work. I would love to hear from anyone one who has used either - pro's and con's.

I have a Brinly-Hardy box scraper for a garden tractor. Even with adding weight, it is really useful only for moving loose dirt around to fill low spots. But I managed to get it on closeout at Home Depot for under $50. At that price, it was worth bringing home....

Be aware that you can add a cutting edge to a York Rake, and some are even sold with that as an option. I haven't tried one, since I also have a belly blade for my garden tractors...

IMO, the rake is more versatile and useful.
