Slip clutch arrived from Agrisupply and I installed it on my 60" Modern mower. This clutch has the groove in the shaft for the safety circlip unlike the one I'd seen on Ebay. It's made by Eurocardan.

Any advice on clutch useage/adjustment are welcome. I plan on at least covering the clutch from rain.

Two questions after viewing your pictures:
1. Are those shear bolts on either side of the slip clutch?
2. Do you put grease in the gearbox? I'm considering putting grease in my tiller gearbox instead of gear oil.

The bolts are grade 8s not meant to shear. I use gear oil. Why would you use grease?

You should have a permanent cover over the slip clutch for safety reasons. :D

Do search here as there is lots of adjustment advice. :D

I have one that came with the mower but the slip clutch is too large in diameter to fit inside it. Where can these be purchased?

The dealer should be able to find one or you could make your own.:D :D

You should have received an owner's pamphlet with it. It contains manufacturer recommended care and feeding - to include adjusting the slip point (spring compression) to match the PTO horsepower of your tractor.

If AgriSupply won't/can't supply you with one, I can make a copy of mine.

Greg that would be good if you could post a manual I just received mine the other day too and no manual or anything.
Im going to see if they have it in PDF form like HF does, but I dont think I remember seeing it.
Just noticed the care and FEEDING LOL LOL
Thanks

Because it says GREASE with a big arrow on the gearbox.

Actually you should use gear oil in the box, BUT I've always put about 6 or so shots of grease (from a grease gun) in the box before I add the gear oil (My Dad used to do it and my Grandfather taught him that in the '20s). Even if the seal leaks out the oil, the grease will remain....Not sure if its worth a tinker's d...m, but so far no problems...lets see ...for about 80 years or so...BobG in VA
