Because it says GREASE with a big arrow on the gearbox.

ROTFLMAO!!!!! I have got to be the biggest dumb ***** this side of the Mississippi.
Good catch Rockin G. Actually the manual calls for gear oil. BUT I did actually see that and to be honest I figured it for a chinese type decal. Like when the arrow points at grease zirks and calls them oil cups. I really didn't give it a second thought. I swear I read the entire manual though.
