Hello Community, I have a land pride RTR 1250 tiller that is leaking oil out the front shaft seal. I have removed the 19mm lock nut off the bolt/pin that holds the slip clutch in place. I assume I should just be able to tap the pin out?? I hit it on the nut side and nothing. Am I missing something or am I even trying to drive it from the correct side?

Looks indeed like a tapered pin and you're doing the right thing by tapping on the nut side. I say it's just really stuck in there. Time to step up in hammer size.

I agree that it is probably just frozen or jammed in there.

Thanks. I’ll give it a harder wack now that I know I am hitting it from the correct side

If the larger hammer doesn't work. Gently heat the housing that holds the bolt.

Can you get a vice-grip on it to turn it to loosen the rust/crud? Or put a double nut on the thread side and use the outer nut to turn it. You can also gently tap the housing near the pin to try to loosen it up.

If not heat the bolt to red, let it cool and try again.

That's great to hear. Thanks for updating us on the resolution.
