Foggy;
I didn't say Bobcat was an off brand.... I was refering to some of the clan like farm hand which goes by several names Harbor freight and menards sold. Their castings look like they were done in a sand pit without the aid of outside molds.
At any rate spoke to a fella with a 35 hp Bobcat tractor. he said they discounted the heck out of it so bad he felt obligated to buy it. Didn't look like a bad unit but the marbel in my head said wait and price parts. I know my Bobcat parts bill was tall enough to use a step ladder to read. Strike me in the head with a hammer but Deere and New Holland are my choices and that is what I bought new. They say older and wiser.... don't know if it is true but I know I hate waiting for parts or accesories. If they stock my parts in India its gonna be a while.
* Didn't buy a Kia car either..... bought 4 corvettes instead. Parts are just down the road and believe me there are times it is handy !

IR sold Bobcat to Doosan Infracore, a South Korean equipment manufacturer on July 30, 2007. Could be why they've decided to sell another South Korean company's products...?

But, I'm sure you'll be comforted by the fact that at the time of the sale, Bobcat Americas president said, "...Bobcat's compact equipment will complement Doosansエ existing product line..."

Kinda makes you feel all warm and fuzzy doesn't it?

Yep....kinda makes me want to hop into my
Toyota (fueled by some BP gas from the far east) and buy six cold Bud's to forget about all the companies that have sold out to the "foreigeners".

While I say the above in jest......it truely is a sad state of affairs....IMHO. :(

Remember when we were kids....and everthing was made in New York?? HA!

Foggy, I would look used. Like KennyD said. If your 790 is kinda small for you, I think you need to look up a notch. Try to find a 4710 if you want a great tractor. PS, they hold their price well. (they also make a 4710 sprayer so you have to search for the tractors in between the sprayers).

You know... $8,000 (difference between new 3320 and 130hr reverser 3320) can be discounted in a whole lotta ways, too!!

Do you feel like installing a diverter...?

I,v said for many years that the loss of our manufacturing would be very bad. When all jobs here leave who,ll have money to buy the import?Corp America has to ease up on the greed factor. Now I own a b-c 235 and would have preferred to hand my check over for a made in USA product, guess what, ain,t none!Nothing under about 50 HP made here they are all rebadge from someone else.We had 4020 deeres on the farm very good tractors back then but I couldn,t afford the price of green paint for what I needed. My nieghbor has a 790 deere and parked along side the b-c we noticed several things.Front axel about 50 % larger, rear axels and 3 pointmore robust, nice open floor space.I understand that the b-c is rebadged kioti but b-c enineers specified what changes they wanted made to the line to put the b-c reputation on the line.Deere will likely enjoy better resale value but I personally don,t care,I,ll be dribbeling snose long before my b-c is worn out.We are told its a globle economy and I now think its too late to go back to the way of things as I,d like to see it be.I used to like miller lite beer, don,t buy it now cuz sold to a s affrican co.This is the new reallity:mad:Dave

Foggy. I went from a 790 to a 4310 and couldn't be happier. Plenty of room to move around a lot more lift capacity and no shifting!! Ain't lookin back

IMO, I love my 3520 Cab and would reccomend it to anyone. That being said, my bro got himself a brand new CT230 for pratically what I paid for my loader
Seriously, Bang for the buck, I dont think you can beat the white Kittys....Nice solid machine...not a Deere by any means, but then again...the price tag isnt Deere either.

I'd have no problems reccomending a Kitty...If your "frugal"...its really a good option.

Personally...all things being equal....I'd buy a new Bobcat before buying a Used Deere...

I don't know ANYTHING about the Bobcat line of tractors! But, if the new parent company adheres to the same quality in design, construction, materials and support that IR did for the skid-steers...

Well, maybe I need to go give them a look see! :dance1:
