Rereading some of the posts; Unless I missed something, you do not say that it was faster, only you think it should be faster because your son's is faster.
Is that correct?
If so, I still think gauges are needed. I got gauges with fitting for under $100. I put them in the loader disconnects.
If you are not getting enough pressure, it might be an adjustment on the relief valve. If it is by passing inside a cylinder then you will know which one to take off, before it makes more metal to contaminate you system and do more damage.
