MY TC34 has 41hrs on it and I have noticed the rocker pedal seems to be creeping back to neutral instead of the rapid return it had when new. Below about 1800 rpm's it returns fairly quickly but above that it seems sluggish, especially if I have a bush hog behind it at 2500 rpm's. When the tractor was new it would skid the rear tires a little when I released the pedal. I have looked for a grease fitting but have been able to locate one. I did locate a dampener for the petal with a rubber boot cover around it but it does not a Zerk fitting.
Any other owner's of the class II series NH ever experienced this?

check underneath your platform for spring damper it's connected to the HST pedal- make sure its clear (twigs, wood).

My Dealer let me change that part on my own part covered under warranty.
my problem back then --was going in reverse on her own.

for my problem changing the damper didn't help--but it may for yours.
Jinman bailed me out that one-- http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/nh-owning-operating/95203-hst-going-reverse-her-own.html

My TC 29 had same problem as yours; replaced the Damper ( sba378910020) and all is good. damper price is about $103.00.

UPDATE:
After re-checking the HST pedal I did find a grease zerk underneath at the pivot bracket. Finding it is one thing, getting a grease gun on it is another. I have tried 3 different grease guns with various ends for the grease gun including a 90 degree and 360 degree that rotates every 45 degree.Just cannot get a good coupling between the fitting and the zerk and grease just squirts out around fitting instead of going inside. I had my son on tractor rocking pedal FWD. and REV. while I was underneath trying to angle grease gun on zerk. Just not much room to get grease gun hose on to fitting.
What do you guys use to grease this fitting on the TC34 ( I assume the TC29,TC31, and TC33 would be the same)?

I have a 1925, predecessor to your machine but most things are very similar.

I went through this two weekends ago, it was funny what you said last, as I had my son up there rocking the pedal for me as well.

To grease the rocker, on mine, I was able to just push my straight grease gun with a solid straight coupler up through the linkages, and then get locked onto the zerk. That was not my problem though.

Will your's actually stick in place? That was helpful to me diagnosing mine.

I finally got playing with mine, and realized that the pedal would wiggle a bit, ie, had a bit of freeplay, even when the control itself was "stuck" and you had to bump the pedal a bit to release it.

There are several little joints along there and I sat and looked and finally ended up taking that black cowl off that is under the dash.

On mine, it then became clear that there is a cross shaft that the linkage hooks too that runs through a pipe that is mounted to the top of the transmission. The pedal linkage, dampers etc hook on the right side, and the left side of mine was blank, I suspect that is the attaching point for a cruise control.

Anyway, I had to drive out the roll pin that retains that shaft, and drive out that shaft, carefull, there is a bearing washer in there between the "pipe" and the arm for the pedal linkage.

Corrosion had built up over the winter on that shaft and it was sticking in place.

I cleaned it good with crocus cloth, then cleaned out the "pipe" with cleaners and the shaft itself, when I was satisfied that everything was clean I filled it all with moly grease so it slopped out everywhere and reinstalled it.

Wiped everything clean and finished re-assembly.

Worked well for me.

Good luck.
