Slushbucket

Well I got a chance to try my new 60 inch "light materials" bucket on my B2620 with the wet snow we had here. Had to pick up some piles of the wet "white cement" that fell off my roof. Basically 6 to 8 inches of well rained on snow all piled up. I had the bucket pretty well heaped with that stuff and it's not exactly "light material". The B2620 and 364 loader seemed to handle it without a problem, then again it isn't rock either.

It's faster than the 50 inch bucket - gives you less play, aaah, I mean work time.

We had some snow a few days back and since my snowblower was not here yet, just used the loader to make a path. Of course that it blew in pretty quick but we could get in and out the driveway so I just left it for a bit thinking I would clear the rest with the blower when it arrived. Had a bit of a delay and now it is raining so am having to deal with this slush stuff as well. Wouldn't want a bucket smaller than 60" for snow removal since as you suggest, the B's seem to handle it well.

That's good news Bstrom! I did my yard with the loader yesterday, and was wondering how you made out with the larger bucket while I was doing it. Of course my snowblower came today, but I still think the bucket is handy in some situations.

Be careful with wet snow, it can be VERY heavy (you will figure out pretty quick if the loader won't pick it up)

I used to plow snow and in the downtown areas of the town, in the middle of the night we would drive up on the sidewalks and push the snow back into the street and then with bigger trucks push it into a big wind row in the middle of the road so that a giant snow blower could throw it into dump trucks (see link - it took less than 20 seconds to fill up a dump truck)

I am telling this story because one of the drivers had a heavy load of wet slushy snow and forgot to release the tail gate on the dump bed when he went to dump the snow. The front of the truck actually came off the ground and the frame on the truck was toast.

I am jealous though, there are lots of times with wood chips and other light materials that a bigger bucket would be great.
