While we're off topic here and onto small engines, I hit upon an idea that works for me and has not failed with a lot of engines over maybe 15 years. What I do is run the engine very low on fuel and then add enough fogging oil to the gas to give it a pretty strong mixture...maybe 50-50 or so. Then I run it out of fuel. Come spring, it starts every time with fresh gas and I have never had a problem this way.

Something new I have started to do is use gas with no ethanol in it for my small engines. You can get this at an increasing number of places and it makes life a whole lot easier. Here's the site to check your area for locations. Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada I add Stabil to it as soon as I get it and it works at least a year later without a problem.

I have Three Diesel Tractors on a 15 acre lot and picked up a 55 Gallon Enduraplas DEF unit. It is fantastic as it has a pump built into the container that you attach to your battery of what ever you are re-fuelling. I like this size as I typically grab a couple of my Diesel jerry cans and dump it into this container to keep it topped up. No need to get a truck in to deliver. Ensures the fuel is fresh and I put it on a dolly so I can wheel it around in the shop for easy mobility. Would highly recommend this for a small farm or hobby farm.
