Small Acreage - New Holland TC24D or Kubota BX23?

I sell both NH and Kubota. Sub 30 HP Kubota is cheaper for basicly the same tractor. They are also a better all around company to deal with. I would look at a B7510, don't discount the BX23. It will do all you would expect it to given its size.

<font color="blue"> Henro . . . the B7500 (now called the 7510) is only a 21hp model, it compares well with the TC21D. I think an apples to apples comparison would be the B7800 to the TC24D.

Bob,

The B7800 is the same tractor, less bells and whistles, as the B2910.

I suppose then the B2410 miight be closer to the TC24D ???

Probably close anyway... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Henro, I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

So if the B7500 is 21hp which Bxx00 is 24hp?

And while you are answer that, I'm looking at a 56" tiller for the B2910 to be used in HARD clay. Do you have any tiller experience with your B2910, and do you think 56" is too much. It will just clear the rear tracks with the R4 tires. I'd rather go smaller than go to large given the soil conditions I deal with. Your thougths?

The B7610 is a 24hp and should compare very closely to the TC24. I think the B7800 would match up closer to the TC29 or TC30, wouldn't it?

Bob,

Don't have any experience with tillers. I know some take multiple passes a few inches deep if they have to.

If I were to get a tiller I would probably want one a little wider than my rear tires...or at least one that would offset...other than that I don't really have any thoughts as I don't think there is a tiller in my future...

Thanks everybody for the input. I ended up deciding on the NH TC24D with 12LA loader and 756C backhoe. I'm sure I will use all of it often for as long as I am still kicking. If I need big stuff done, I will hire THAT out. This is for all the things that come up needing to be done when one owns any property at all. I am also a contractor and it will come in handy for barn building (I always rent a Bobcat with a 24" auger for the post holes, the tractor will do utility lines, move lumber, etc.).

Thanks again, everybody.
