Now mostly in place...just a little fine tuning.

Raining this weekend. So, will have to find some more stone and hope for a dry weather next weekend. I'll put in the topsoil and mulch. Planting is another "department's" job. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

One last pic... When the garden seats are in place (her idea), we'll be looking downslope at this view. That is the mountain on the State Coin (Camel's Hump).

When everything comes into bloom, I'll add a final pic.

Very Nice, thanks for the post. Can't wait to get seat time myself. My place in Louisiana is nice. But if that's small, mine must be tiny. And your view has mine beat.

Jeff - Thanks. The wife has the green thumb. I just dig holes and fill them back in. Those hostas came from her, previous, small garden and went crazy in that lowest bed. That bed was all hand work but getting rid of all the rocks, adding 6-10" of compost, sphagnum, and topsoil did the trick. The CUT makes a big difference as I'm getting too old to lean on shovels and iron bars all the time.

Troy - Thank you too. I bought the land in '82, before prices went crazy up here. The year after I bought it, land prices doubled. Now, I could barely afford an acre with these views, let alone the 10.2. For some parts of the country, 10.2 acres seems like a lot. For many areas, 10.2 is barely the front yard. It's all relative. I got lucky.
