Small Front deck Riding Mower

Need some help folks. Does anybody make a good small front deck close in small yard riding mower? Our yard and surrounding area are kind of rough so the ride does matter and most of the zero turns you sit right on the axle/wheel and the dealers warn me it can be kind of harsh. When I was a kid on the farm my Dad bought a nice riding mower that had a floating front deck that worked nicely. It seems these days they are so big. Any ideas?

Yes. That is a good suggestion and the only one I have seen so far...but it does seem a bit long. The problem I have had with this model is our local dealer does not carry them and has never sold one. It would be nice to at least ride it before buying Thanks for the suggestion.

Does it have to be new?
We have a John Deere F525 48" cut, does a nice job.

I can second the F525. Great mower, although I believe the engine and hydrostat are all one unit which makes replacement a bit expensive.

Only front mount mower I knew about before that Husq above was a Walker and Good Lord they are proud of that one.

If it were me I'd look for a decent JD F525.

That John Deere looks nice...did they quit makeing that one...why if so. I am in Montana...a bit far from Wisconsin How much?
