Small pedal next to the 4WD shifter

Hello everybody,

I'm a newby and not a native speaker. I'm living in Portugal and recently I have bought een second-hand Iseki Landhope 240.
It's working fine but there's one minor problem. Unfortenately the former owner lost the owners manual and since alle the stickers on the tractor are in Chinese I wasn't able to find out what the small pedal right next to the 4WD lever is for.

So if anyone of you could tell me what it is for and how to use it, I would be very happy.

Howdy Rob , I have a 240 also & have used it quite a bit. & Dont know what the pedals for. But I,ve never needed it , & Everything works perfectly. I,m Guessing it Might be a Rear Brake Lock or something. I,d also like to know as I cant read Chinese either. Best of luck.

The small pedal is to lock up all 4 wheels for max traction. Only when held down.

It is a rear axle diff lock - when pressed it is locked. Front axle is engaged only with a 4wd lever.

Best when used while going straight - never on pavement around a corner.

Yep Your all right , I,m used to using My 255 that the 4wd lever is on the left up torwards the inside of the fender . So I wasnt sure which pedal he was talking about .

I Only use My 240 for Mowing & never even looked for the 4 wd lever until I just read this again , & Its right next to the axle lock on the right side just above the floorboard . I,ve never used the wheel lock or the 4 WD on the 240 , So i guess I didn,t care . Btw Way it only locks the rear wheels , Wether its in 4wd or not . . Bob

I agree with Bob, it only locks the rear for posi-traction. You can try and turn, but the tractor will try and go straight.
