2008 b26
I purchased a b26 TLB used to finish a bunch of projects. It's a 2008 with 750 hrs. A little wear but runs awesome.

It was an expensive investment, and after my construction/excavation projects I think I want to sell it because they command a premium, I hate having so much cash tied up.

Problem is, it's so darn handy, I use quick attach forks a lot in addition to landscape and snow removal with the bucket.

What's a cheaper but solid option for a downgrade? I only have an acre and I hire a guy to mow lawn.. I have a garage and use it to lift and move stuff around a bit. Not much trenching needed after spring.

Or will I have remorse and I should just keep it?

What jobs will you still use a machine for after selling the TLB. That will really dictate if you should sell or not and what might be a suitable replacement. If you just no longer need the BH, I would think a similar size CUT / FEL with SSQA would do what the B26 does on the front end and you could get some cash on the swap if you are selling used, buying used.

After construction of my garage and trenching I'll likely not need the hoe much, or if I did I could rent a mini excavator I guess.

I find the bucket handy and the 3pt is handy for attachments.

General uses are occasional mowing, moving stuff, mulching, snow removal, etc. I really like the power of the b26 bucket for lifting things.

Maybe a regular b26?

A B2650 would be the same frame size machine but less lift capacity/height on the loader. The B2601 is a slightly smaller frame size with a little less lift height/capacity the the 2650.

I have the B2620, the prior version of the B2601, it's a great tractor and very capable for its size.

Sounds like either one might fit your needs.

I would never part with my B26 unless I got physically unable to use it. A TLB is just too handy to have around. Unless you are strapped for cash, keep what you have, selling that and buying another similar sized tractor with less capability really makes no sense.

Good point, they are holding value right? Think they will remain that way?

I know the bt21s are a lot cheaper with a little less capability. I don't need the cash, so if it maintains the 20k ish area I could keep it for a bit. If it drops to 15 tho that would make me reconsider.

It's already paid for itself over a rental

I agree with Gary, and build a boom for the front to use moving stuff around you will not regret it great little machine the only reason I would get rid of mine would be to get a bigger one.

That all makes sense to me.

I should mention I have a 4 in 1 bucket, and I love it. Only thing I'm missing is a thumb on the hoe.

I came off a terramite t5 and though the terramite had slightly stronger and faster hydraulics the b26 works circles around the terramite as a compact tractor. I could never go back to a terramite now, or at least I prefer not to

the relief pressure is probably set low, check your pressure I had to bump mine up a couple hundred pounds just to get close to the rated pressure. Post a picture of your 4in1 if you don't mind.
