Small Square Baler??

/ Small Square Baler?? #2
I have seen a few on ebay that baled 4"x7"x11" or so, it was a manual job that you worked in a workshop. I also saw where someone took an older NH and "down-sized" the chamber to a smaller bale.

Is this what you were thinking?

No, not really, I guess I didn't explain well enough, I want normal sized bales but I have a small tractor and need a smaller sized baler

Messicks are the ones that have these balers built and sell them. If you go to their website it links you to this site where you can see video of them working. Mini Hay Balers

if you're not talking the mini bales and want reg. size bales and you have a small tractor you may need to get an older nh (hayliner 77) or jd (14t), some of these balers have pony motors to run the baler no pto required. they wont shake the tractor as bad as a pto baler will, but if you have hilly terrain you may have some difficulty again depends on the size of your tractor.

I need to know what the smallest square baler there is available ? any thoughts???

You would be better off telling what your tractor is, and people could recommend what might be appropriate behind it. I've seen an 8n Ford pull a baler with a Wisconsin motor on it so the Ford didn't have to power the baler, but it still worked the little tractor HARD. Think how much weight you are pulling, terrain you are on, and the momentum of that plunger slamming back and forth in the bale chamber...

I used to have an older ford baler that not only was small and light to pull with a tractor but also produced a slightly smaller bale that was great for younger help.

Right. My neighbor has one of those little Ford balers for sale now. The pickup looks considerably narrower than the one on my Massey Ferguson 124 baler (two twine, small squares) which is 56" wide with 48" gathering width. My 124 weighs 3060 lb and I pull it with a Mahindra 5525 (54 hp engine, 45 hp pto). That Ford baler looks smaller, maybe 2500 lb.

Farmerjim,

Yes, I am looking for a small baler. Not small haybales. Thanks for the info.

The Wolagri mini baler will stuff a sixty pound round bale for you and will wrap it in plastic for you as well with an integral bale wrapper or a separate bale wrapper.

The USA distributor for Wolagri is just over the border from me in Pa.,
I have post about the wolagri mini baler on the sote here from a few days ago when eyedoctordave was enquiring about small balers for small tractors.

The folks at Earth Tools - Walk-Behind Tractors - (502) 484-3988 in Kentucky carry the Caeb line of mini balers for 2 wheel and four wheel tractors.

I use a new holland model 67 and easily pull it with my JD 790. It is old but it bales excellent, also the agriquip offers a small square baler making 13x17 squares using as little as 15 hp. however at over $15K you have to make a lot of hay to pay for that.
