Are you going to fill it with diesel or #2 heating oil?
In NY, my dealer will not fill a tank he suspects will be used for on or off road equipment. And the state will come down on him if he does, and gets caught. He told me the only thing I could do is pump from my HHO tank directly to the equipment, or another tank.
Yeah, I guess I did spell that wrong.
It reads, to me, like the last sentence contradicts the first two and I just don't understand wtf you are saying. That's all.
More like the first sentence doesn't make sense. #2 home heating oil is #2 diesel. HHO and OFF ROAD diesel are the same as diesel at the pump but road use tax is not added and it is dyed.
HHO and OFF ROAD diesel are meant just for those purposes. It is usually dyed (red or pinkish) diesel. The fuel supplier is not allowed to deliver either of these if they are going to be used (or they suspect they will be used) in an ON ROAD vehicle. It is against the law here because the state does not collect the road use tax they add to the price of diesel at the pump. A person found using dyed diesel in an ON ROAD vehicle can get a substantial fine because they tried to cheat the state out of tax. It won't harm an on road vehicle but the state calls it tax evasion.
