I'm sorry to hear that. Your signature text sounds depressing to me. I hope you are working something out to find enjoyment in today.

Oh, I enjoy every day! The signature text is basically the simple truth...My knee is broken, I cannot go back to work, so stuck in limbo.... The end result is if the knee gets fixed finally.... anticipating what is around the corner.... finding out my final maximum improvement. I was a paramedic captain. The surgeon has told me already that I will never be able to do my previous duties.... so waiting to determine my new career.

Maybe I should change it.... now that I read it again, I guess it does sound depressing...:D

That sounds much better. I interpreted "end result" in a much darker manner, probably since I read it in combination with your multiple injury post.

But I'm terrible at reading minds, especially over the internet. Good luck and fingers crossed for a good end result.

Whatever you do, stick with your therapy and push yourself hard. Trivial compared to your knee, I got my hand stuck in a freight elevator door last year and the door latched shut and the elevator left the floor, so I couldn't open the door. Long story short, I broke an index finger badly just past my knuckle. 80% amputated, yet no serious nerve damage, and tendons still attached. Surgeon said he would consider that after surgery and therapy if I could pinch my fingertip to my thumb tip at the end of a year, he'd call it a success. He didn't expect we'd get it to bend much. Well, I was heartbroken, but happy to keep my finger. However, the surgery and pins went well. I followed up with my therapy (an excellent therapist!), and after 6 months I had 85% movement and they considered it a 15% disability. Now, :thumbsup:11 months later, I still work it multiple times a day, and I have what I'd consider 98% movement and at least 90% strength. Super happy! It's just a tad bent, and slightly shorter. Gets colder easier, and feels just a bit stiff when I try to make a fist. But I could have lost it. Life's good.

So look forward, push yourself, do the therapy, etc... and you'll end up better than the original outlook.

I’m glad you clarified. Best wishes with new career.

How can the small farmer survive now that baling wire is rare? Can it really be replaced with duct tape?

The future is virtual and surely there will be an AP for HAY WIRE.

It's the news that isn't talked about in the mainstream that troubles me the most at the moment. To think we used to scoff at the News agencies of communist countries.
