Anyone make a small track tractor.

I have a Magnatrac MH5000 which I dearly love for its back hoe and loader. I was thinking of getting the 3 point hitch and pto that they have but that means 1) taking off and on the back hoe every time I want to change job types and 2) it goes too slow for things like baling.

I am not wanting a tractor without wheels that will puncture due to the tremendous amount of JUNK on the place we purchased (On the ground or buried.)--- We are replacing a tractor tire once a month as we try and clean the place up.

I'd like a 35-50 hp Track vs wheeled tractor preferably with rubber tracks. I would envision a 'skid stir' with a rear 3 point hitch and pto able to go upto 5-10 mph.

DOES ANYONE MAKE SUCH AN OBJECT.????

Yanmar does. I think they are importing them but to just a small market. It is called a T 80. They haven't been available long enough to find a used one .

I would LOVE to have one of these. I can't find anyone bringing one in. It is too small for you , but just right for a lawn toy.

Kubota 8540 uses rubber tracks on the rear, they are tired on the front but I think they might match up to the skid streer solid tires to partially rid your problem.

We recommend steel in scrappy conditions! The rubber tracks often get cut up unless care is given!

You can get track-steer loaders with three-point hitch adapters on the front with a hydraulic driven PTO. Can't get one with one on the rear, that's where the engine is. I have a Mustang skid steer that I couple up to my TPH backhoe. Also, my dozer has rubber tracks and a Quick-Hitch TPH and PTO on the rear. Change implements in about 20 - 30 seconds.

I am new to this. I know of the 'green slim' stuff. I am putting that in the wheels of ths small skid steer. But what about a larger tractor tire. You say "foam" Could you tell me more...... I am ready to become an Amish man an use steel tires.:)

We do not have a tractor yet, we are looking. We are renting or swapping with others, my Magnatrac time for their tractor, but paying for tire repair is killing me.

Basically, it is high density foam (like Great Stuff, but more dense) that replaces the air in the tire and sets up hard.
You then run the tire until the tread is gone (possibly recapping the tires and wearing the recaps out), then you cut the tire/foam off of the rim with a sawzall and install a new tire.

No more flats, but it will also greatly stiffen the tires and harshen the ride of the tractor.

Thanks this looks like a good idea... $300 a wheel is not that bad. half of a new wheel.
