Been looking for a grain drill for food plots and small pastures....does this one look okay other than the tires....was told it works, seems like all parts are in good shape and not too much rust to speak of?
not sure of price yet but what would anyone think its worth?
Its on a 3pt hitch instead of pull type, is that good or bad? I know it would make it easier for loading unloading on trailer.

Thanks for any advise. Or where to get a smaller grain drill for a decent price.....

I couldn't get your links to open. What I did, was to find an old John Deere/Van Brunt model FB. It orginally was a 17 x 7 configuration. This drill drove 9 flute feeds off the right side, and 8 off the left side. The drive gears on the right side were broken, I got the drill for scrap price. I'd seen other drills cut down, and was able to figure out how to do it. I was even able to sell a few parts from the right side to help on the costs. The lift is a trip mechanism and doesn't need hydraulics. Now it drills 8 rows on 7" spacing. The big box will hold over 200lbs of rye/wheat. Last year I was able to drill winter peas out of the big box, and Daikon radishes out of the small seed box in the front. Finished width is just over 6'. It works great for small plots.

Can't get your google stuff to open. Use the TBN picture utility to post images. It's easy to use and is a lot better than links to google images.

A few years ago I restored a 10 foot wide grain drill. Bought two of them from a neighbor for $275 and used parts from both to make one good drill. These old drills generally come in two 5-ft sections and people have been making two 5-ft drills out of one 10-footer and selling them on eBay for $1500 and up to food plot guys like yourself.

Good luck.
