I noticed the couplers missing the dust caps in your pictures. Hard to believe the ROPS got tweaked. Sounds like the dealer is going the extra mile to make it like new again. Now it's a no brainer whether to fix it yourself or use your insurance.

It was the complete opposite experience compared to dealing with car insurance appraisers. They always try to get away with only replacing/fixing the bare minimum so their cost is as little as possible, and using aftermarket parts where they can get away with it.

The Deere dealership on the other hand, has a vested interest in replacing as many components as possible and doing the most extensive repairs since they are the ones that will be doing the work/ordering the parts. Of course they have to clear it with the insurance company first, but the service manager didn't feel that would be an issue.

He gave me the option of sending a tech out to swap the cab at my place, but he would need to use the crane outside to lift the old one off as my shop is not tall enough to do it inside. But I think I'll just let them do it at their shop with the overhead lifts they have there. I'll definitely be stopping by daily to check on things once they get started and take some pics of what it will look like without the cab. There will be a ton of wires and A/C lines to disconnect, that's for sure!

Don't anybody fool themselves...insurance companies are not in the business of paying money out without collecting from someone else. In this case, since it is their own insured...they will probably raise the premiums in the near future to recover these costs. There is not a big pot of money somewhere just waiting to be spent.

I don't remember insurance from the dealer being an option when I bought my 5310. How much extra was that? Sure wasn't an option on my 50 2 cylinder. Any dealer being that upstanding needs to be recognized. Which one was it?

I had three claims last year. One was someone hit my vehicle then left then scene ( love sell phone cameras ) they got him after a month of so. Before his insurance got involved my insurance claimed the damage was $950.00 ( UNDER MY $1,000 deductible, so they washed their hands of it. I knew darn well damage was more than $1000. Finally the other guys insurance came out to estimate damage. They ( AGAIN THE OTHER INSURANCE COMPANY ) claimed $3,600.00 damage.

My, my, my, lookie there. The people I PAY did nothing for me, the other side took better care of me. Next day I canceled my insurance.

Insurance companies - the only service YOU PAY FOR then have to fight with for everything. Think about how sad and funny that is.

Since I took advantage of the 60 months 0% deal, I had to get the insurance. It is the Sentry Insurance UltraGard. The premium for the entire 5 year term was $1,216 and rolled into the total amount financed, so that works out to only $20.27 per month. Since it has already been pre-paid for the entire 60 month term of the loan, my understanding is that other than the $500 deductible, I will not be responsible for any other costs.

from the pictures, I was wondering about the cab, there is visible damage to the ROPS. and from a safety standpoint it needs replaced. Any damage to the ROPS could allow it to not do its job in a rollover. that is also why a ROPS system involved in a rollover is replaced(even if it looks good) to guarantee no liability related to the ROPS.
even in this case it did its job, the trailer probably would not have stopped until the goosneck uprights found the back of the tractor!

Believe me, I have had my share of issues with regular car insurance companies, but so far, this particular claim against my tractor is going much better than I anticipated. I'm not yet out of the woods of course, we'll have to see what Sentry says once they see the pictures that were taken, but my initial impression is that everything that the service manager noted will be taken care of.

Once everything has been worked out, I'll disclose the dealer. It's a large dealer with 28 locations across VA, NC and SC. My particular dealer does everything Deere offers from small lawn tractors to 9Rs to huge construction and forestry equipment, and everything in between. Its always an adventure when I go there to visit.

I mistakenly thought it was your private insurance coverage...you might cxome out smelling like a rose with this policy. Before everyone gets in a pile about how crooked insurance companies are: they have one of the smallest amounts of profit of any industry. When the fight to limit costs or deny excessive claims they are doing that to their insurers benefit and trying to keep premium costs down. They are in a business with many shady characters on one hand and premium holders complaining about coverage costs...I do not envy them.
