Anybody smashed the seatbelt on a BX? Poor design of the belt connector gets it in the way of the seat when sitting down. After only 1 month mine was cut, scraped ...

Solution is an S hook - One end around the belt connector cord and the other end under the ROPS bolt located closeby. Works great and looks like a "Factory" fix. Yeah, it probably voids the ROPS, right?

My belt does get wedged between the seat and wheres it's attached, checked and no sign of wear yet. Sure is a pain in the butt when it does get stuck which is quite often. A photo of the "S" hook set would be nice. I'd like to do something for my seatbelt!!!!!

Thanks for the replys
Eric P - here is the pic of the fix I made. You can clearly see the mess it made of the buckle. However form the lack of corroboration, I can only assume this is not a widespread issue.

If your seat had damaged the buckle to that extent, I would check to see if Kubota would replace it under the machine warranty. I have never had this problem with mine, and it looks to me to be a defect that causes it to get hit by the seat. In the event of accident, I wouldn't want to trust a buckle that was damaged repeatedly. I would be of the opinion that Kubota would replace it no matter what to avoid any possible future repercussions if there was a failure in an accident. The seat belt can't be that expensive and defending a law suit would be more than the cost of the seat belt. Ask your dealer. You have nothing to loose and all he can say is NO, or you could call Kubota direct and e mail them the picture of the buckle and your "fix".
