Smoke from 2200 transaxle vent

Before I tear into the brakes, are there any tricks or landmines I need to be aware of? It looks straight forward, but you never know...:confused2:

Why not analyze the problem, THEN decide if you need to tear into the brakes? Are you sure the E-brake is not engaged?

That's why I'm here! :D The tractor is a good distance from town and there's no Internet access out there. I fully expect to see an issue with the linkage, but it's nice to have a contingency plan if the first bright idea doesn't pan out. My grandfather always preached not to fix something that wasn't broke. :thumbsup:

Problem identified! The brake pedal assembly shaft was not properly lubricated and was sticking. A quick squirt of grease, along with the mandatory maintenance discussion with my girlfriend (lost cause :confused2:), and the tractor's back in business. Thanks again!
