We use portable self-grounding electrified mesh for our Icelandic sheep. The sheep had to be trained to it, but after that they never challenged it. So far it has repelled two young coyotes (since shot), a fox (since shot), a racoon (never seen again), and several stray dogs. Any of them could have jumped over the fence, but they're curious and that first 6000V jolt on a bare nose sends them packing in a hurry!
We use the portable mesh for rotational grazing, and it takes one person about 15 minutes to move 360 feet of fence, the battery and the charger.
