I recently sewed several acres of grass seed using my 8N. The bed was fairly smooth, but there were some clods that didn't roll out because the ground was so dry. I imagine there will be some bumpy areas created in one way or another (erosion/tire rutting/animal burrows, etc) even if I get it rolled smooth now.
Question is- long term, what is the best way to smooth out bumps that may be created? I've heard aerating may work? Would aerating, then rolling after a good rain be the best way to knock down bumps in the yard?? What about verticutting or harrowing lightly?
