It is quite hilarious to watch a person who has seen a snake and are scared of them :D I was working in a new house in a subdivision a few years ago when I heard a loud scream, and there were several screams to fallow, I ran outside to see what was going on and there was a 250 lb muscular built black dude on his knees on the roof of his SUV, screaming like a girl for someone to help him,:D I walked over and he begain to say sir I wouldn't come around to this other side... there is a big-ol-snake over here, I walked on over to take a look and found it was only about a 3 ft Garter snake, I reached down picked it up by its tail took it across the street and turned it loose in an undeveloped lot where it most likely came from in the first place, He Thanked me but then ask me if i thought it would be coming back? I told him I doubt it because he probably scared the snake half to death witrh his screaming,:D

Funny thing about Amarillo...I grew up in Mansfield, OH...lake effect snowstorms. However the worst snowstorm I have EVER ENCOUNTERED was on I40 in Amarillo.

Hey Mustang Sallies DAD I'm in Mansfield Ohio now! lol

I been in Texas, the snow & ICE is not that bad at all, big difference is the native texans have no snow removal equipment and no clue how to drive in snow...

I was down there in the late 80s when there was a snow storm, they closed everythign and was maybe 1" of snow. I wanted to see a movie so headed into town. next thing I know I see a cop pulling me over. I slowed & pulled tot he side & stopped he came up on me and was about to rear end me, so I started to pull away slightly to prevent being hit. this idiot state trooper whom was sliding sideways at me then had the nerve once he approached me ask if I was thinking about trying to outrun the cops.. ! I laughed pointed to my OHIO license plates & DL and told him I was only getting out of the way of his sliding car...

anyhow he left me off with a warning seeing I was from Ohio and serving in the military & all.

When I bought my place, it had been unused for a few years. The cottage was well-supplied with mice and their droppings. The barn didn't have either. I wondered why, until I found seven feet of shed snakeskin behind the stairs.

I'm grateful to Big Mama for the vermin control, so I made sure she was outside before we caulked up all the gaps in the walls.
