We likely have a lot of them here, I've seen them before.
I need to watch the places I'm watering I'm sure they are around to get moisture.
We have a couple of pileated woodpeckers, they are generally very shy. The female has been hitting the birdbath the last few days for water or a bath. I'm keeping it filled, never seen so many birds coming in to it as of late.
There are 2 ponds down the road, one is fed by a spring, it now has dry places in it. The one across the road from it is going to dry up I would say in another week or so, its really went down this week.
I hear all around farmers stock ponds are drying up.
Somehow we had mosquitoes tonight, first time this year, they ate me up watering the chickens, man are they sucking water down.
It sounds like fall out, the locusts are singing, it just seems wierd. Everyone here is really really concerned about the weather. I will be glad when I don't need to water the garden so much. We may have 2 wells but you never know, my friends well went dry.
