Wow, snuck up on you like a trial lawyer!

I have only killed 1 on my place in five years, my neighbor get's 4-5 a year?? Weird...That's the only snake I will kill is the Copperhead, I'd take 5 Rattlers for one Copperhead.

 ...Gotta remember that one...

Kidding aside though..that guy looks like he could really ruin you day. We get timber rattlers up this way but they're pretty rare and there isn't much habitat left for them.

Did you just throw away the underwear you were wearing or did you wash them?

;)

My FIL was just bit by a baby Copperhead on the foot a few weeks back. Looks like he did not get any poison or he was able to squeeze it out since he was ok. Guess they taught him something in the Green Berets. :D

My dad killed one Copperhead with a cane knife.

I got one with the F350.

Another got away when I was moving the spoil dirt from our house construction. The pile was pretty good sized and had 2-3 foot tall grass/weeds growing. I saw the snake crawling up the pile but I could not get him with the 4n1 bucket before he got to the top and disappeared into the weeds. I was going to go after Mr. No Legs on foot but figured it was not best to be climbing a mound of dirt covered in tall grass trying to find a poisonous snake. :D

We have quite a few black stakes. Usually 3-4 feet long though I have seen one that is easily over 6 feet. I wonder if they kill the Copperheads since we have not seen many.

Later,
Dan

My brother was bit by a Copperhead when we were 7 and 8 years old, To this day 38 years later, his finger is disfigured.

I either have one with me or closeby at all times. I just bought a single shot 12 guage to carry on the tractor for when my accuracy is off.:)
