It does rest stop above ground on the foundation. Our stucco is "old style" real stucco. The guy that did the house (in 78) lives a few houses down. We had him repaint the place and fix some holes last year. It's THICK!

We have checked all the edges and sealed anything that looked like a possible entry point, and found some other places already filled.

We know the previous owner had problems too (not disclosed though on the form) as we found mouse poison on the ledges in the mechanical room. Also when we looked at the house in the basement we say holes (about 4-5") in the ceiling where the drywall wasn't put back all the way. No one knew what that was for (not even the realtor or inspector).

Well, a year later we had the exterminator come and he saw them and said "those are access holes for an exterminator that was here before looking for points of entry"... LOL!

But like I said, we've reduced the mouse/snake problem to almost nothing, and we'll find out in the spring if plugging the HVAC exhaust lines solved the issue for good.

I also have the vent cleaners coming tomorrow and I hope we can see how many snakes/skins get sucked out... Would be sweet if he pulled out a whole family.. lol
