International 1066 Full sized JCB Loader/Backhoe and a John Deere 430 to mow with
I bought a rolling tool box and with it, came some wrenches (all snapon), sockets (various) compressor...and generator.

In the world of the wrenches, I have a full set of metric and SAE.

In the world of the SAE wrenches, they are all "OEX**B" where the ** is a number that seems to correlate with their size.

Fine....I can understand that.

Two of the wrenches however, are different. My 11/16's for example is "OEX 22" with NO A, B or anything after.

They are clearly a bit different as the two I have that are WITHOUT the "B" at the end don't fit quite as nice on the organizer they're all in.

What I'm wondering is what are the differences that may be involved with those different model numbers other than perhaps one was made "here" and the other was made at a different time....

Thoughts?

Snap-on has lots of variations on tools, wrenches can be flank drive, non-flank drive, different degrees of offset, 6pt, 12pt, spline, etc.

You can go to their website and should be able to look up the PN. Might be able to figure out the difference or maybe not.

Been there and so far, can't figure it out. I might simply be looking in the wrong areas... or asking the wrong question.

I do however, believe these are 'traditional' wrenches, nothing fancy like the flank drives.

I'm presuming the ones without the "B" are simply a couple years older (not that they're antique or anything.....simply older)

My Snapon wrenches are all flank drive and were purchased back in the 1980s.
