No, here I am making adapters and there is one available somewhere, figures. It costs me about $70 to make one, that Kubota one is probably around $20. We take a large JIC to M20 I think, cut the JIC to a 5/8 thread & tap the cover. Man, I should have patented that move 2 years ago. Then all I would have to do is sit back & sell repair kits. It sure beats taking that cover off.

MFRED - I would say you gat an "A" for effort. Ya can't help but admire the yankee ingenuity in CT.

It looks like a male to male union or coupler. It has male threads on both ends of different diameter and wrench flats in the middle. Need to grind down the old stem flush with the hosing, then tap threads thru the hole. The filter screws on to the other end.

I ordered the Kubota 15241-32290 JOINT, PIPE
I'm going to give this fix a shot.
I have the parts & ability to do it but REALLY don't want to change out the tranny cover.
Question: After I cut & then grind down whats left the old stem flush with the housing, do I have to drill out the hole before tapping it or is it the correct size to tap as is?
