Not sure what you are asking. I have the 54" blade on my 2305 and mostly use it for plowing snow, but have done some light ground leveling with it. Works fine.

I had the 54" blade on my 2210 and it worked fine. My problem is I have to push the
snow almost 200' in one area and that makes it tuff with such a small tractor. If you
can push it off to the sides I think you would be happy with it.

Over the last 25-30yrs we plowed are church parking lot with a 16 hp mf (snapper) rear drive. Then about 7 yrs ago I started using my 425 , then a 2210 and now 2305 all with 54" front blade About 3 yrs ago I added 3/4" belt webbing to make blade about 66" wide. Oh, Parking lot is a L shape appx 130 -150' long .about 30 w in one area. I plow the long way then on side of church about 100' by 75'
Plus 8 driveways It has worked fine all total I would plow for appx 2-2 1'2 hr
I just picked up 47" blower and KK 5'blade I going to try blowing snow this yr.

You should be fine with the 54" blade . Just angle blade a little I have plowed as much as 24" on one snow fall just takes time !!!

Here are at least 2 things you can do with an orange one.
I would assume you could do the same with green red black yellow etc.

Just bought the 54" blade for my 2210 to use for plowing snow. Was torn between the blade and the blower, but went with the blade. Read too many posts of problems (i.e. vibration) with the blower. I figure I'll try the blade in addition to my Ariens walk behind blower, if needed. Also I could always throw on the FEL if I need to move snow for more room.

I just bought a used 54" blade for my 2305 ... the PO had it on a 4110 IIRC the mount was all bent, so he sold it cheap. I already have the snowblower so I can use the same front mount. I need to use the angle cylinder, the hoses are too short. same with the snowblower, JD or the dearler added short hoses to my blower to make them reach. does your blade have short hoses added to the angle cylinder
Thanks

I use the 54" blade on my 2305 for snow removal and light dirt grading. I really like it. I use the ballast box on the rear, no chains, but we generally have the light dry snow.

Chris,

I checked my setup and both cylinders have one long hose on each end that connects to the corresponding color coded input on the tractor. Hope I answered what you're looking for.

My Gravely that I had before the 4010 had a 4' snow blade, a huge thing for such a small tractor. It worked fine.

For a bigger tractor (e.g. 2305 is about 3 to 4 times heavier than a Gravely), you'd want a snow blade with a trip mechanism. The Gravely's didn't have this. If it hit anything, the tractor would fairly easily shift to the side.

If you get heavy, especially heavy wet, snow, you'll may need some chains. The Gravely needed them until I put dual wheels on it. They had enough traction for most snow conditions.

On my 4010, I use the FEL and a back blade. This rig works for snow falls up to around 6" or so. Beyond that, the back blade may be a bit short (in height). Don't really know because we haven't had too much snow since I've had the 4010. The FEL can easily handle deep snow but is very slow because you keep having to turn and dump.
