Snow clearing action on our street today (Video)

What, no shoveling pics???

Mostly I was trying to avoid heart attacks, but in hindsight, it would have made a good video all edited together with snowmobiles leashed to the truck like reindeer and trucks leashed together breaking through the ice with all the shoveling.

Picked up some of the activity on the security camera and the rest (clearing my driveway) with the regular camcorder. We had about 34 cm of snow last night and got some drifts over 2 feet.

What kind of security camera is that?! Pretty awesome picture

Around here that John Deere payloader would have a wing plow on it in combination with the front plow.

Same as here sometimes re wings - I like it when they plow the snow to the other side of the street by my property - no driveways there. But at the same time the large plow made mounds gives me lots of action shots for my videos

This is our street. The city has 4 or more of these units and of course, they blow into trucks when necessary.

I love watching those rigs. They come up our street once or twice a year, usually when the snow accumulation is 4 feet or more. Downtown they use them all the time to load trucks that then dump the snow in the harbour.

It's an Axis Q6035E. It does a good job for sure. In the video I had to balance privacy with procedure (re towing) when taking the shots - I could have zoomed for more detail.

The guy waiting for the 4 wheeler debacle is payed by the hour for sure. I couldn't have stood for that. They would have had to at least let me pass by moving the pickup out of the way.

I know too much to comment BUT on a side note I'm just back from pulling a small car out of the very same ditch with my Tundra... went smoothly. Had the security camera set up to record but my videographer had some trouble getting it operational. So no evidence of my smooth operation
