Snow Plow Angle Hydraulics

Hi,

I've been doing a lot of reading here but can't find a good description of how to plumb a Curtis plow with 2 single acting cylinders to my Kubota 4400 single remotes. I've learned I need a relief valve and I understand that. However, from the Tee's of the relief valve, back to the remote, what do I need? Thanks for all your help.

All you need is two hoses to run from the remote outlets to the x-over relief valve. There is no other special requirements. Is the plow works backwards than the way you think it should, just reverse the hoses.

Do people typically install a QD setup at the grill guard so that the hoses can remain in place with the loader disconnected?

Also, the person who welded up this truck plow to be used on the QD of the Kubota said that Automatic Tranny fluid was in the cylinders originally. Does anybody have a good procedure for removing it or is its removal not necessary?

This is entirelly up to you, but I would go go though the trouble/expense myself...

I would drain it. Take the hose off the cylinder, and manually cycle the cylinder, the old fluid will come squirting out so be ready! Then take the fitting off the hoses and blow them out with compressed air. You just need to get the bulk of the fluid out...
