Priced a BX2763 60" front blade and 2751 QuickHitch. Yeeeeow!! $2500.

So, what do you all recommend? A blade that replaces the bucket? Talk me through this. You need to knock out the bucket pins? How difficult is that? Do the various plow attachment merely pin on, or do some have a hydraulic function to tilt the blade? I'm guessing that tilt function raises the cost dearly. If the cost of such a FEL arm blade pushes $2000, then I may as well bite the bullet for the frame mount Kubota version.

Snow is coming and I'm pretty weary of the FEL bucket and rear blade method.

I have never seen a FEL snowplow on a BX,they may make one.My experience is with bigger Kubotas.
I have had a sub-frame mounted snow plow on a L3130 and a FEL mounted on a L4240;both with the factory third function to angle the blade. The third function alone is about $800.The BX I looked at this summer had a manual angle blade and I believe the Kubota(not skid steer) QA.
If you had someway to weld;you could adapt an ATV/UTV blade and save some money.
I am sure someone with a BX will chime in.

I have a BX25 and had a BXpanded 60" front blade that clamps on the front bucket. It's very well made and costs considerably less. I used it for two winters and found it to work great as long as you are plowing in a straight line. The downfall is the blade is a long way out in front of the tractor and makes it very difficult to plow and turn at the same time. It's great though if you want to push the snow into a high pile or need to use your bucket, the plow comes off quickly.
I decided to sell mine and have gone for the Kubota full hydraulic plow and quick hitch system. Looking forward to using it.

I built a blade to attach to the LA301 loader on the B1700 that I used to own. Had a local shop roll me a sheet of 3/16 steel into a 54 x 26 inch blade. Welded 2 U-shaped brackets spaced to fit the loader arms and drilled holes to match the spacing on the bucket pins..worked fine...just needed to be careful not to hit hidden solid obstacles as I did not build in any spring / tilt shock absorbtion..My cost was about $400 including paint to make it pretty..

I don't know the answer to that question, but the possibility would definitely be worth exploring with your dealer.

IMHO the subframe mounted plow with hydraulic angle, while more expensive, is worth it. the stress from plowing is transferred to the tractor's frame and is quite easy to dismount to switch to a blower. On my 2620 I can switch the subframe out and remount the FEL in a few minutes in case I have to move some at the end of my drive. As noted, the angle attachment is about $800 but worth it. I used to have to jump off the tractor and pull a pin and try to set the angle manually. As I get up in age I find the hydraulics a lot more friendly.

I have that exact setup, and so far I like it after one winter. Plowing my paved driveway takes only a few passes, so I don't mind manually adjusting the angle. I've tried plowing the stone road, and that works well also, until I try to go uphill...need some weight in the tires, and possibly chains.

The quick hitch pins on in 10-15 mins...very easy to do.

I thought about the belly mount, but didn't like the idea of losing my loader during the winter. While my setup isn't ideal, it allows me to quickly change from bucket to blade. Also, you can raise the blade as high as you want to push snow banks.
