I have a 3/4ton PU equipped with an 8' plow.
I tried pushing snow with my tractor and found it just was not heavy enough.
When snow built up in front of the blade the wheels would start spinning and that's with chains and a 400# weight!
True the tractor is a compact MT180D 4wd but the 4' loader was more than it could handle pushing snow.
I know a few fellows that mount 8' blades on Zettors in true snowplow fashion with success, hower plowing is still slower than with a truck.
You need to have the blade at 45 deg to get the snow to peel off to the side as well as a bit of speed to enhance the peeling/curling action.
My suggestion on a tractor is to not mount too large a blade.
Also when I angled my blade on the tractor the front end tended to slip sideways due to lack of weight on front end.
Even with a plow truck we generally use narrower tires for better traction. Fat tires really don't 'bite' and most tractor tires tend to be wide for floatation which is the opposite of what is needed for snow plowing.
On a PU equipped with 245 X16" we tend to install 215 or 225's for optimum bite.
Hope this helps.
