Been shopping for snow plows, prices are low this time of year. Got the size from an earlier thread.
Now, the nitty gritty, what style, the newer flop down where the entire plow face tilts downward or the older bottom kicks back?
Also looking for a frame style that can be simply modded to add a quick release plate.
Asking too much?
Yup, easy blade control from the operators perch (seat).

I think you got that backwards. The flop-down style is old school. Fisher Engineering (Douglas Dynamics) came up with the cutting edge trip. Since that is patented, other makers have to use the old style of flop-down plow.

The cutting edge trip is better because you do not lose all your snow-load when you hit an obstruction.

When I worked for Douglas Dynamic making plows a few years ago, the best tractor plow was probably the one I made which was the Blizzard Plow for tractors. (Fisher, Western and Blizzard plows are BRANDS and thus owned by the same company, Douglas Dynamics). I am not just saying that because I happened to weld the plow up, it was really robust, and for what it is worth, made in Maine (Rockland, Maine). That may not be the case now though.

Going to search up Blizard plows for tractors.
In doing a Craigslist search and viewing Blizzard plows for sale, not sure how that Blizzard setup would work.
You are close by in Maine, hopefully the shutdown is not worse than the virus.

I think it was...

750 people stricken out of 1,250,000 people in Maine.

As was, most cases were in Southern Maine, also known as Eastern, Massachusetts.

I know Bangor got (4) cases of Black Swan. FOUR. FOUR

I do not work at Fisher down in Rockland anymore, and it has been a few years, but I still have friends down there.
