Snow plow UHMW cutting edges

Anyone know anything about the UHMW cutting edges for snow plows? Are they worth buying? I was thinking about putting it on a 54" plow that I bought for my JD X595. I have a somewhat rough blacktop driveway, and just curious how long I can expect it to last and what kind of abuse it could take. The one I am looking at also comes with the skid shoes covered in the same material.

I use a 3/4"" x 4" piece on my bx1850 loader's edge. I plow my whole neighborhood, and my UHMW lasts for two or three years. Mcmaster-Carr is where it came from.

I ran one for 2 or 3 years with the first snow way plow and I was never happy with how it floated up and let the snow build up even with the down pressure on. I had a few accounts that I had to go back on and remove the build up with a loader. It was tough but not as tough as the steel edge. CJ
