Re: Snow Options for my CUT

Blade is upside down for these pics. This shows how the extra width of the squeegee keeps the metal cutting edge at least an inch away from the concrete/asphault. I don't even feel the seams in the pavement. In float position the pavement is cleaned very well in one pass. I imagine a great combination would be both a front blade with squeegee and back blade.

Don't forget to set the blade to spring release, squeegee or not.

Re: Snow Options for my CUT

Do you think that would work on the bottom of a FEL, to stop the bucket from scratching the pavement??? So the rubber is held in place with the cutting edge, kinda like you did. Rubber sandwich in between the metal edge, something to think about...

Re: Snow Options for my CUT

bigpete is a genius! I just set this up on my rear blade and it worked great. I made one small modification which was to add a piece of 1/2 inch thick wood between the rubber and the moldboard. This keeps the rubber from deflecting too much.

Thanks for the tip.
