Kubota B2710
Finally got around to taking some pics of my setup.
B2710 with R4's. Rear tires filled. Rear HD chains from St Pierre, front mount 63" blower & Herd rear sander.

Pics are at the top of the hill by the house and doesn't show the 320' steep driveway coming up the hill.

Nice set up!

Do you have chain tensioners? Can't see them in the picture...

Seeing the way you're dressed brings back memories. What I'm trying to say, it is so much nicer with a bit of cab around you. I have the Sears vinyl type and GoYankees did his with a golf cart rain cover. For the $ 100-200, you wouldn't believe how much nicer the job is. None of that blowing wind whipped snow covering you like frosty the snowman.

One other observation. The electric chute rotate may seem a lavish luxury, but is it Really Nice and makes the job even less of a hassle. A bit expensive, but like many other luxury items, you wonder how you lived without it after you have used it.

Oh yea golf cart cover will make the job a lot nicer. Just not having snow blowing back into your face is worth the $100!

Nice set up, kinda wish the blower was in front on my BX 2200, going backwards gets real old fast.

Good Luck

GoYankees:

I never did it, but I can see where it would not be real comfortable. Having spent quite a few seat hours snowblowing this year, I couldn't see doing it looking over my shoulder. Oh my aching neck.

Actually I considered a 3PT rear snowblower to save a few hundred dollars, but after 14 years of snowblowing with my old tractor (front mount as well) I could not imagine doing the job in reverse. So I opted for the Kubota unit. I gotta say, it is a nice setup and performs really well. Given how this winter has started, I'm glad I decided to buy the new tractor this year.

One more thing I'm glad I did. Got a 55 gal drum. I bought a barrel pump with a hose and nozzle from Northern Machinery (about $ 100) The pump is a 12 volt unit and comes complete with an adjustable drop tube and adapter to mount in the barrel. Got it filled with home heating oil (listed as dyed #2 diesel) at $ 0.99/gal.

With all of the hours counting up snowblowing, it's nice to have a "filling station" in the shed. Hit the switch, put the nozzle in the opening and pull the handle. Just like being at the local gas station.
