John:

The tractor pictures were from November when I set up the cab.

I have attached a picture of what it looks like now.

The camera is a Nikon Coolpix 5700. I shoot at 5 mpix, but what was posted was resized to 640x480.

Thanks for the kind words.

Boy, I can't even see the tractor in that picture/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif.
But nice snow picture none the less!

shoppintractors:

Like Rick Jay I couldn't get the Mrs. to go out and get some "action" shots of the tractor in action.

Maybe next storm I will try her again.

Sounds like you got a real deal on the deflector from ebay. I like to way you have you controls setup also. It sure is nice to have that CAB cover isn't it ? I just love mine, and with the cab heater, it just can't be beat!!!!!

Jason:

I could never see snowblowing without a cab. Heat would be a nice touch, but just keeping the snow and wind off is such a tremendous inprovement that I can't complain.

I remember the misery of snowblowing and having the wind whip the airborne snow into my face. It stung pretty bad after awhile, along with the frozen snot, I could barely take it. Then a neighbor came by as I was snowblowing the 11 " of snow by hand, and he had nice new JD with a cab. I could hear the heater motor going and he was in a T shirt playing the radio. As I watched him drive past me something snapped. Perhaps it was being out in the cold for 2 hours blowing my 1/4 mile hilly driveway, or maybe it was rabies/distemper, but from that day foward I vowed that I would NEVER go through another rotten cold winter doing this again. By the end of the following fall, I had taken the plunge and got my 2710 with the front mounted blower and heater. I can honestly say that I have absolutely no regrets about buying my setup, except that should have done it sooner./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Like you say just having the cab makes a trendous difference. When I see the snow blowing back onto the windshield I think back to the bad old days......

techman,

Very nice setup and excellent deal on the deflector. I've been trying to find the original hydaulic version of that Kubota offered.
Maybe I'll have to fab something up out of a snowplow cylinder and spring of sorts.

Something else to think about,
Michael
