Snow Attachments Snow Removal

   / Snow Removal #31
I also have a gravel driveway and went the front mount snow blower route. It works great but I could not drive as well as I would like. If I adjusted the shoes higher I would end up blowing too much gravel when the drive way was not frozen. Two years ago I started using a plow and I like it better especially for the small storms. The plow and the blower use the same mount, I found an old used plow for $75 and build a frame to attach to the snow blower mount. It takes less then 10 minutes to change between them. I now only use the blower if we are getting a big storm or I need to push the banks back. I have read many of these threads before and I think it all boils down to doing what works best for your situation. If you decide on a plow make sure that you have plenty of room to stack the snow and that you push the early storms way back. A snow blower may take a little longer but you never have to push back any banks mid winter.
