I wish we had more snow here. Instead we get soggy, dark, earth for 6 months.

Cool.

Snow /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifNot a big problem here, we usually get ice, or snow that turns to ice the next day.

Highbeam,

Instead we get soggy, dark, earth for 6 months.

I noticed the sentence below from one of your posts a few days ago.

We are still seeding in the northwet.

I was wondering if it was a typo -or- you were referring
to your geographic location. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

My parents driveway in Maine was .2 miles and too many times the snow was cleared by shovel - so much for "no school" day.
Here is a picture of snow last March, fortunately my CK30 won't be dealing with it this year. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But I will think of you guys. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

No typo, we are the pacific northwet. Really it gets to be a drag over the long winter. Your latitude is similar so you must get the same lousy light hours in the winter, you know leave for work in the dark and 8 hours later come home in the dark.

Here in WA we get the bonus of drizzle. A constant cold and wet feeling. Many people get into a funk since it is almost like hibernating. Not cold enough to freeze and be crisp but not warm enough to burn off the wet.

It might drive me nuts one day.

I'm a fellow Granite Stater and I use a 72" Normand Econor snow thrower behind my LK3054XS. It works great.

When I'm done I usually look like a snow man, but if you look closely you'll see a big smile hidden somewhere in the facemask I wear to keep the snow off my skin.

I got the snow blower at Upper Valley Tractor in Enfield.

The machine works great and I have good clothes to protect me from the wind and snow. It sure beats putting a plow frame on my little Tacoma.

I posted some pictures last winter. A search might find them for you.

I'm sure there is talk, I'm the lunatic. The winter blues aren't uncommon in these parts. I don't know any different though as I have spent my whole life in this state.
