While cross-country skiing in the NE Kingdom of VT, I have seen miles of plastic tubing running from the sugar bushes to collection points. I believe the harvesters have agreements with the XC ski operators or local snowmobile clubs whereby the operators groom (pack) the woods roads and the harvesters use snowmobiles or ATVs to service their lines.

Most TBNers have probably done enough homework to be satisfied with their snowblower. I am well satisfied with my Lorenz (rear PTO mount), but I would not want to back down miles of woods roads with it. I see potential ground clearance problems with rear PTO front mount blowers that are expensive anyway, and the inverted (rear PTO, pulled) blowers would also seem problematic.

Syrup farm!
How big, how many taps?
Tapping being a spring time activity suggests wet slushy muddy situations.
And then you have to deal with mud as the season advances.
Wet snow is a bugger to deal with and more so if U are planning to do the winter's accumulation all at once.

As mentioned piping is one way to go, and very common.

My thoughts would be to consider a wide tracked snow sled pulling a sled for supplies etc.
A snow sled (snowmobile) has great traction and slush or even wet soil should not stop it all due to their low PSI's.
A tractor can get seriously bogged down in those same conditions plus count on frequent clogging of any snow blower as they hate wet heavy snow.

PS, I've owned snow sleds and tractors and experienced the shortcomings of both.

About 800 now and expanding. All on lines. Have two main roads I値l need keep clear around the sugarbush. We generally have quite a bit of snow through at least mid-season (Farm is in the Adirondacks). Once get slushy etc my atv/sleds will work but need keep those roads clear through the winter. Tapping happens before any melting lol!!

Many great brands out there. I purchased a used Lucknow 72" rear PTO blower (Canadian, eh). It is big, but after purchase I downloaded the manual and noticed it was for 20 to 35 HP and my tractor is 45 at the PTO. It is a beast so I have no problem but pay attention to those details as it sometimes affects the PTO shaft angle. Blowers for larger tractors have higher PTO connections so there is zero angle.
I have learned from the TBN that the size of the impeller directly affects how far it will throw snow.
