GR2120
the GR 2707 will work on the GR 2120, contrary to what the dealer told me. The solution to the chute handle is simple, use an eye bolt mounted on the side plastic cowling with a straight bar on the back and front to beef it up. A lot cheaper than the new thrower with the weights on the back, and the problematic electric control.

You ment two stage snow blower.

Sadly no one manufactures a high quality single stage snow thrower
for lawn mowers except the grasshopper folks.

The mkmartin single stage snow throwers are too large in diameter
and as a result require too much power versus the original smaller
diameter design of the Reist snow throwers they are trying copy.

This reminds me of the winter of '86. We had an honest 47 inches of snow in the yard and on my mile long gravel driveway.

I had a six foot snow blower(thrower) on my Ford 1700 4WD. It was called the Blue Machine. A two stage blower.

Took me two days to clear the yard - driveway - mailbox area. Raise the blower and clear the top two feet for as long as the tractor could push back thru the snow. Drop the blower to the ground and complete the clearing. Man - there were snow piles over six feet high - everywhere.

Things have been going down hill ever since that time. I've not even had to clear any snow for the last five winters. Just put the truck in 4WD and go. This is particularly true with the Power Wagon. It easily pushes thru any snow we have received since 2018.

Agree, I sold my Allied 73" like new blower to a guy on here about 5 - 7 years back. Was just wasting space in the garage. Overkill for Southwestern Pa. He was from coastal Maine and glad to get it.

I just can't get rid of my 6' blower in case we get a rare dump. Our last was 2016, and the one prior was 2010.
If I were just doing my long driveway I could just use the loader bucket, but I have 15 or so long drives to do and that would be very time consuming.

My big advantage - I'm retired. I don't have to be anywhere at any time.

Makes life easy. That "slop" we've been getting here, the last five years or so, will be melted a couple days anyhow.

I can still remember that one winter with all the snow. No matter how much FOD you do on a mile long gravel driveway - there will most always be something out there that will blow a shear pin. Especially if it's the first time to clear the snow.

So......I'm putting along, in reverse, having a good 'ol time. Clunk, clunk, clunk - a rock that was picked up and, fortunately, cleared. Then a quieter clunking - ah, a pine cone.

Then a very soft - thud, thud. It was a pocket gopher - tunneling thru the snow. On that one episode I "threw/blew" two or three gophers.

That sounds like fun.

The only part of clearing the driveway that gets real old, real quick. The ten to fifteen foot tall, little pines, that hold a ton of snow and lean into the driveway. As you motor past - these small pines dump their load of snow - right on top of me. I've got a canopy on the M6040 and it sure helps.

Without a cab on the M6040 -- I wear a full set of Eddie Bauer down. Pants, hooded jacket, gloves. I look like the Pillsbury Dough Boy in puffy army fatigues.
