Yes, snow in SC. If this keeps up I'll need to get a snow blower!!

I cleared the drive with the bucket and made a few piles for the boys to have fun.

I can't wait for it all to melt!

You got more snow on the ground than that we have up here. Matter of fact this storm rolling up thru the coast, we're only expected to get 2 to 3 inches.

Yep it was more than I was expecting. There is about 5" on the ground and the top layer is frozen. We can't drive in this stuff down here.

Try fliiping you box blade ripper shanks upside down and put the rippers in the air and in their highest position. You will increase your productivy by being able to use the box blade as an improvised snow plow when backing up -use the loader when going forward and the box blade when backing up. The box blade actually works pretty good for an improvised snow plow.

Surprised that you are not stuck running those R4 tires. guess you did not know that you cannot use them in snow.

Im in south Carolina too and i did the exact same set up you did with the box blade... I tired to make a big mound of snow but didn't work out too well... The FEL dug to far in the dirt...

I would get a snow blower just for the looks you'll get from neighbors. Best not put it too close to the road otherwise I bet people would hurt their necks twisting around trying to figure out what it's used for.

All,

I was almost willing to purchase a rear blade to deal with the snow. However, my wife talked me into purchasing the BX2798 rear mounted snow thrower. So far we have recieved 18" of snow. And this storm has not even hit yet. If we are luck this storm will bring 24".

The best part the weatherman was just talking about the next storm, next Monday!!!

MY SNOW THROWER IS HUNGRY!!!

This is exciting!

~Kevin

BTW, if you have not noticed I love my wife!

Its suprising how many things we do only to find out later that they can't be done.
